Joe Antoun 
Joe is a Specialist Orthodontist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Otago. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He currently divides his time between Christchurch (private practice) and Dunedin (University of Otago).

Joe's clinical and research interests include craniofacial growth and development, patient-centered outcomes, and use of temporary anchorage devices. He is also particularly interested in emerging digital technologies that can be used in clinical practice and research. Joe has published approx. 40 scientific articles, and presented both nationally and internationally. He is an active reviewer for several dental journals including the European Journal of Orthodontics and the Angle Orthodontist.
   
 

Rosemary Bray 
Rosemary spent more than 30 years employed in the dental profession, both in clinical and administrative roles, with experience in general dentistry, periodontics and her last 17 years in Orthodontics – all in San Diego.  She left her quality, fun Orthodontic practice in 1998 to begin her self employment as a speaker and consultant in Orthodontics and Dentistry and she now proudly celebrates her 50th anniversary in teeth! Yes, that was 50 years!

She has lectured and worked on every continent except Antarctica (penguins must not care about teeth) and in all 50 of the United States, on behalf of the AAO & all the constituents , Ortho companies, numerous state and local dental societies, Ortho and dental study groups, in-office consulting and for her own workshops and seminars. She is the founder of the very popular annual Ortho Camp seminar on the beaches of Mexico which came to a terrific happy conclusion in Cancun after 12 successful years!


   
She was very honored to have been the Staff Program Co-Chair for the AAO Annual Session in Chicago in 2011 and has been an AAO speaker for now 26 consecutive years. She has spoken at many prestigious dental meetings as well, including numerous times at the Hinman, Chicago Mid-Winter, Star of the North and of the South, the AAPD, the Yankee Dental, the CDA and the ADA. 

TEETH have taken her around the world to teach. She has truly "Been There and Done That" in her Orthodontic and Dental Career! 
 

Ali Darendellier
 
Dr Darendeliler is Professor and Chair of Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry, Discipline of Orthodontics and Paediatric Dentistry, at the University of Sydney and Head of Department, Sydney Dental Hospital, Sydney South West Area Health Service. He received his dentistry training from the University of Istanbul and his PhD from the University of Gazi, in Turkey and his first specialist training in orthodontics from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and his second specialist training from the High Education Counsil, Turkey.

During the course of his career he has undertaken duties as a clinical instructor, research and postgraduate coordinator (Maître d'Assistant et de Recherche) at the University of Geneva, Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina, Research Professor at the University of Southern California. His research interests include orthodontic tooth movement, root resorption, obstructive sleep apnoea, temporary anchorage devices, sequential aligners, self-ligating brackets, orthopaedic treatment modalities, magnetic fields and forces and dentofacial orthopedics. He has lectured in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia In addition to his research and teaching commitments he also maintains a private specialist orthodontic practice.
   
 

Mauro Farella
Mauro is Chair of Orthodontics, Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Orthodontics, and Deputy Director of the Sir John Walsh Dental Research Institute at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He holds a DDS Degree (University of Naples), a Specialist Degree in Orthodontics (University of Naples), a PhD in Oral Sciences (University of Reggio Calabria), a Specialist Degree in Medical Statistics (University of Milan), and the "Venia Legendi" in Switzerland (University of Zürich). He has also been awarded Certified Membership of the European Board of Orthodontists (Helsinki, Finland).

His current research interests include craniofacial growth, jaw function, and biomechanics in orthodontics. In addition, Mauro is a widely recognized expert in orofacial muscles, bruxism, and temporomandibular joint research. Mauro has published numerous (>130) original articles in peer-reviewed international journals. He is an ssociate Editor of the Journal "Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research", and served on the Editorial Board of the "Journal of Dental Research" and the "Journal of Oral Rehabilitation". 

He has lectured around the world and is the recipient of several national and international research prizes, such as the Alan Docking Award from the International Association for Dental Research, and the Sir John Walsh Award, to acknowledge the excellence achieved in dental research. 

   
 

Tony Fernando
Tony is a psychiatrist and a senior lecturer in Psychological Medicine at the University of Auckland. He obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines and his psychiatry and sleep training at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been awarded multiple teaching awards by medical students and the faculty of medicine in Auckland.

In 2012, he was awarded by President Aquino of the Philippines for his services to sleep medicine and medical education. In 2015, he received the Chair's award by the New Zealand Medical Association, the highest recognition given by the association to any doctor in New Zealand for his work on physician wellbeing. In January of 2017, he received temporary ordination as a Buddhist monk in Chanmyay Myaing monastery in Myanmar.
 
   
 
Padhraig Fleming 
Padhraig is Professor and Postgraduate Programme Lead in Orthodontics at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He also works part-time in specialist practice.

Padhraig studied Dentistry in Trinity College Dublin graduating with a Gold Medal and First Class Honours. He undertook postgraduate and Consultant training in Orthodontics at Barts and The London. He was awarded his MSc. with Distinction in 2007, the Membership in Orthodontics and British Orthodontic Society Medal for clinical excellence in 2008, FDS (Orth.) from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and his PhD in 2013.

He is an Associate Editor of American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the Journal of Dentistry and British Dental Journal. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers and has received research awards from the British Orthodontic Society and the B.F. and Helen E. Dewel Award from the American Association of Orthodontists in 2011. He has co-authored popular orthodontic textbook including 'Clinical Cases in Orthodontics', 'Functional Appliances: Theory and Practice' and most recently 'Fixed Orthodontic Appliances- A Practical Guide'. 
   
 

Tony Lund

Tony is a Specialist Orthodontist who has been in private practice in Rotorua for over 20 years.  He graduated his BDS from the University of Otago before completing his Masters in Orthodontics at the University of Western Australia in 1997. 

Tony has been involved with the Orthodontic Auxiliary Training Programme for many years and is currently the chairman of the Orthodontic Auxiliary Training Programme Committee.   

   


 
Dianne Watt  
Dianne is the National Manager for The Invisible Orthodontist (TIO) in Australia and New Zealand. Dianne holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing & International Business. She has an excellent grounding in marketing, user behaviour and business communication, having taught for a lecturer in these areas at the Australian National University.

Dianne has extensive in orthodontic practice experience and has spent the last few years traveling internationally to deliver workshops on the New Digital Enquiry conversion process and TIO's non-doctor consult strategy, ensuring practices can convert their digital leads into treatment starts.
